First professional project developed in its entirety, Design Development to Construction Administration. The project was a full redesign of a two story apartment in Lima, Peru. A new circulation path was implemented in several areas, such as expanding the kitchen and relocating the service room to the upper floor. What was once a living quarter and maid room is now the main bathroom and secondary bathroom. There is no longer a dining room but instead one large open living area space. A connection between the living room and kitchen is apparent through the use of a hidden door at the base of the stairs. Moments of the client’s Swiss heritage can be seen in elements such as the kitchen’s U-shaped dining area. Social zones of the apartment were separated from the more intimate areas to create moments of privacy. To create a more layered social connection between spaces the rooftop was transformed into a covered terrace as an additional common space for the living quarters.
