This project involves the adaptive reuse of a vacant nine-story office building constructed in 1976 for the General Services Administration. Antunovich Associates' proposal cut out 184,693 square feet of the 665,928-square-foot building in order to maximize views and take full advantage of the building’s location along the Anacostia River waterfront.

1900 Half Street transforms the existing office building into a dynamic new mixed-use residential building, with 453 luxury apartments and 24,000 sf of retail space. Two interior elevated courtyards provide a contained garden for recreational purposes. An infinite pool offers the residents an incredible view of the city. 

The redesign includes 24 ADA units, 44 Type A units and 385 Type B units. Below is an example of a typical Type B unit.
